What Is an Online Stopwatch?
An online stopwatch is a browser-based timing tool that measures elapsed time from a starting point. Unlike physical stopwatches, the TimerClockify online stopwatch uses the browser's Performance API to deliver ±0.1ms precision — immune to system clock drift and tab throttling. It runs entirely in the browser and requires no installation.
How to Use the TimerClockify Stopwatch
- Open TimerClockify in any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge). The stopwatch loads instantly with no sign-up required.
- Click the green Start button at the center of the screen to begin timing. The display updates in real-time with hours, minutes, seconds, and centiseconds.
- Press the Lap button during an active session to record a split time. Each lap shows the individual interval and the cumulative total in a scrollable list.
- Click Stop to pause the stopwatch. You can resume timing from where you left off by pressing Resume.
- Press Reset to clear all recorded times and return the display to 00:00:00.00.
